Pros and cons of Pocket Access app for iPhone and iPad

Pocket Access app good for

Queries even work except for left join queries and for functions like rnd. Wish to be able to enlarge column.
Pretty good implementation of access, with support for relations and queries. Would like to be able to change column widths in the tables and queries.
I bought this due to the fact it was the only program that allows me to load my MS Access database files and view them similar to Access on my laptop. Only thing one needs is a primary key to create database. I would like to see features like report design, database design and using switchboard control. It is a great app. I have more than 1,500 books and growing in my collections. My only regret is that we do not have the actual. MS Access or FileMaker PRo Advance available on the iPad to purchase.
I have been using this app for about six months now. Originally, I experienced the frustrations that many here who have poorly reviewed this app had. Namely, I had an existing Access database, and I expected it to run the same on my iPhone as on my PC. It doesnt. But when you think about what youd need to carry your database around on your phone for, and then adjust your use of this app to that, it actually works perfectly. I created a second database from my original one containing nothing but the tables and a few queries. This is much smaller and emails back and forth much more easily. Then, once a week or so, I can import the tables back into the original database, and use the power built into it for analysis and reporting. The two complement each other perfectly. I do wish there were more robust support for queries in the app. And I took a hard stumble on the inflexible way that the app handles dates (as datetime, ugh!), which required some modifications to my SQL on my main system. My husband, who isnt usually into such things, insisted I make a database for his business, once he saw how easily he could use his phone to keep track of his jobs, expenses and contact info. Hes thrilled with it, and uses it easily, despite often having trouble with this sort of thing. I look forward to watching this terrific app evolve.

Some bad moments

Request update for iPad iOS 6 (problem with pictures, always view the same picture).
This apps claims to be an access type of emulator, but in fact is only a bi excel spreadsheet app! No forms, reports or relationships can be created, not even a bit of code or macro can be created. It is more of an excel app where you have spreadsheet that you can make graphics/charts with. Don be fool it isnt what they claim it is. And on top of it all it is WAY too expensive for what it actually delivers!!!
Without the use of forms or reports, this app is no good to me. If youre only looking for basic tables and queries functions, this will work.
No ability to clone, copy database. This would be good if you could. Disappointed overall. Hard to create database, have to do on pc, then send to iPad.
Useless. I want to be able to open, in my iPad, the same Access frontend that runs on my PCs at home and at the office, which connects to a backend database stored in DropBox, but I cant. Can I please get a refund?
Almost zero functionality. If you want to waste $5 donate to charity or buy a homeless person a beer. This program is worthless!!
